The Island School $1,000,000 Challenge, 2026!

The Island School Foundation board members, along with dedicated members of The Island School Board of Directors, are excited to announce the upcoming Island School $1,000,000 Challenge scheduled for February 5, 2026. The event is a major fundraising opportunity for the school, and all proceeds benefit the school directly. We look forward to seeing you on the golf course.

This event offers golfers 18 chances to win $10,000 – and 18 golfers a chance for $1,000,000. Plus one golfer will win $10,000 Cash – guaranteed.

Event details:

  • The Gasparilla Golf Club will be set up with all Par 3 holes
  • A hole-in-one will win $10,000 on any hole, and there are 18 chances to win – multiple winners are allowed on each hole!
  • The 18 golfers closest to the pin during the event will participate in the $1,000,000 Challenge. Prizes are awarded to the 18 golfers who qualify for the Challenge.
  • Every golfer in the Challenge will have a chance to win $1,000,000.
  • Every golfer in the $1,000,000 Challenge will take one more shot. The golfer closest to the pin from these will win $10,000 – GUARANTEED!
  • We will play 6-person teams in a scramble format. There are prizes for the top 3 teams in the scramble. Teams cost $4,500 ($750 per golfer).
  • All golfers, volunteers, and sponsors are invited to a cocktail reception following the golf.

The $1,000,000 Challenge 2026 donations should be made payable to The Island School. Please note “$1,000,000 Challenge” in the memo section of your check and mail it to The Island School, P.O. Box 1090, Boca Grande, FL  33921

About the School

The Island School is a multiage charter school for grades K-5 in Boca Grande, Florida. It was founded and approved by the Lee County School Board in 2000. Its purpose is to educate the children whose parents live or work in the community of Boca Grande on Gasparilla Island, a small barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico.
